The last Foden made
and one of very few known (to me) wheel variations on a Foden: The Chain Lorry with plastic hubs.Rob

Rob --some most interesting wheel variations...fun to see them! Back to the 39 series, I do have an original Buick Viceroy with colored wheels. This was purchased as NOS from H.Hudson Dobson in 1959. It is the only 39 I have with colored wheels... Terry

and the rear one ridged.

Rob,
This is an extremely rare 1964 Foden specially in MIB condition but I have been told that you have a star,
something very small
and even rarer than the Foden. Are you preparing an article about it ?

There are other variations between the mid green
and lime green models: tiny rear lights
and registration plate.

Surely the one shown here on the right is the version of the Zephyr supplied only with the 990 Gift

I might as well weigh in with a 972 with black plastic hubs.

Some of the Terex trucks also have red wheels. The Coles truck can have either yellow
or black plastic hubs.If we start listing all the wheel variations,
we shall overload the software.Remember that there are at least 131 different Dinky wheels,
not counting the various colours.

Yes I know all about wheel variations.I produced Dinky News for a number of years in the late 1990s.My ' name ' is the Pidgin English translation.I tho9ught this was a discussion,
then what you are saying about overloading the system should have applied earlier.Perhaps my input is no longer needed.

Jacques There was a time when Jan
and I were virtually the only people on this forum
and it often felt like a lonely place. We now have a lot more members being very active with MEANINGFUL DISCUSSIONS
and a huge amount of GOOD FORUM TOPICS.The last thing we should do is put people off
from
entering their thoughts on a topic - especially when they are adding good information to the Dinky world. You are TOTALLY OUT OF ORDER HERE,
and an apology to Bruce is now NEEDED,
I assume you will do so WITHOUT DELAY.Let us keep the discussions flowing in a FRIENDLY MANNER
and RESPECT other peoples point of view. That is the definition of a forum.Dave

Bruce -- I second that opinion of Dave's and was hoping that Jacques remark was tongue in check. All of us that are active on here have been sincerely hoping that we could attract more participants, so for sure we do not want to discourage you. Hoping that you remember me.....I used to subscribe to your Dinky News years ago, and also bought your Dinky Foden Type 1 Tanker in wonderful condition. Any chance you will start up your paper again?
