Hi Rob, I love it, the 24 Series is one I really need to get into, I only have a Town Sedan at present. Not easy to find them now though. Chris Warr,

Although we are used to odd and almost tasteless colour combinations as Dinky Toys are concerned, the blue-wheeled Studebaker can certainly not have been intended to be put into regular production! Rob, I admire (and envy in a friendly way) your virtually limitless Dinky-collecting potention. It took me 35 years of painstakingly collecting in order to score only a fraction of what you seem to have been able to. Congratulations! Kind regards, Jan

RobI agree with Jan.....it is just amazing to see the depth of your Dinky collection. So many rare and unusual colors, and all in wonderful condition. Thanks for opening us up to a whole different level of collecting! All of us have our own collections, all special in their own ways, which we will continue to love and nurture, and all of us have different perspectives on collecting....that is what is so much fun, and this forum allows us to share our diviersity in a wonderful way. Thanks again for sharing with us! Terry

Jan and Terry, Thank you for the compliments! I have been fortunate to be able to help Dinky Toys dealers in their stalls, both here in Holland in Houten and in the UK in Sandown for more than 20 years. Each time I am the first to unpack and see the toys they have. For example the red hub tractor in the next picture some months ago. It also allowed me to have good contacts with other dealers, like the late Michael Bowen, from whom I bought especially Fodens and Guys. Some dealers knew and know what I am looking for and often show their finds to me first. It also helped to limit my collection to English made Dinky Toys only. I have visited many smaller obsolete toy shops, now gone, many toy fairs and toy auctions in the UK in the early nineties. Not Vectis or Christies, but smaller local auctions where Dinky Toys were available, but much less in demand. Later came eBay, where I have been lucky to find many rarities. Like the yellow hub tractor on the next picture, only a few weeks ago and for 70 Euros.... Back to the thread, wheel variations of the 308 Leyland 384 Tractor. Kind regards, Rob
