434 Bedford TK Crash Truck. Three early models: dark green hubs and light blue interior, scarce red hubs and red interior and also scarce dark green hubs and red interior. The turning wheels on the jib are different as well, unpainted metal or red plastic.

275 Brinks Armoured Car. Boxed with light grey plastic hubs and with black plastic hubs. The unboxed version is the rare Mexican Louis R Picaso Manriques promotional with dark grey plastic hubs. Apart from the hubs, there are other differences like the colour of the doors and the bumper and base plate. It is a chunky and rather heavy model, not easy to find in the box shown. The Mexican promotional was housed in a plain white carton box. I was very lucky fo find the unboxed Mexican model, which is in near mint condition. It was on eBay, the seller had no idea what he was selling and advertised it as a standard model. I paid GBP 60,-........... :S Later versions of the 275 have metal wheels, no driver and guard and no cases of bullion. They were housed in window boxes and easy to find. Brinks also had a promotional model made, which had a white lift-off box with Brinks markings on it. The model is a standard late model with metal hubs, but the box is rare. Kind regards, Rob

The promotionnal issue for Brinks was packed in the end flaps box which was inserted in the special white box printed with 'Brinks'. A pair of 'B'cuf links were also provided as well as a book or something similar.

Coles Mobile Crane early 571 with yellow metal hubs and the last 971 with yellow plastic hubs, a plastic driver and Coles written on the backside. The unpainted jib of the last model makes it special and scarce. The box base which is not visible on the picture is yellow in stead of the usual blue. Kind regards, Rob

RobVery nice to see those. Is that unpainted jib just a mistake, or was that a very late happening of its own??Terry

Nice Rob, I'm still looking out for the one on the right. This makes me think, not of another wheel variation, but of the scarce French box for the Coles Mobile Crane, which was in use in 1951 only, for the British model, as imported into France. I have an almost pristine example: Kind regards, Jan
