Jan--Looks like you are 'on a roll' and making very good progress! It all looks very nice and am sure you will be glad to be done, then able to enjoy the fruits of your labor, and then move on to your catalog work. Terry

Hi Dave, this could be a nice 'excuse' to organize another familiar houseparty for Dinky intimates next spring, if strategically chosen coinciding with a Houten fair weekend! Terry, yes, the catalogue is waiting again, but meanwhile the paint was drying I have compiled my annual Dinky calendar for 2015 yesterday. I can hardly wait for the printed result to be delivered, at the end of this week. Richard, indeed the additional meters of shelves will easily accommodate about 20% more miniatures in a very spacious layout. The complete overhaul should be finished in the course of next week, after a period of merely three weeks. Kind regards, Jan

Unit 9 refurbished: new white background, 2 extra shelves inserted, models' condition checked, and contents reshuffled - turning the former rather crowded display into a pleasant, spacious presentation. Another two to go!

Hi Richard, I have a very long to-do list for the time being, but I will keep that in mind! No doubt there will be good wines available every day! The interval between two holes for the shelf supports is exactly 5,0 cm. So you can count what you see. Most shelves have a distance in between of 10 cm, occasionally less, occasionally more. The shelves of this unit are 90 cm long each. I can vary flexibly, the way I planned and built them, 24 years ago now, and they still comply with my demands, with some adjustments every now and then! Kind regards, Jan

For sure Jan ! I have some 'Bordeaux' like 'Puisseguin-St Emilion' or 'Lalande de Pomerol' from 1997 to 2007 that are famous ! If you prefer white wine, I have also a very good 'Riesling' from Alsace area. Thank you for the informations. kind regards Richard

Time to introduce myself as a new member to the DTCA. I am Swiss, 69 years of age, living in Thailand since 22 years. Over the years, I have assembled an (almost) complete collection of all the Dinky Toys racing-, sportsracing- and record cars, both from England and France, pre- and post war up to 1964. This is how I have put them on display in our living room here in Hua Hin. On the left side, in the display cabinets, are all the first issues, complete, whereas in the cabinet on the right are all the variations (almost complete). Since not all of you are able or willing to visit us here in Hua Hin, I herewith allow you a short glimpse into our living room, where a Pocher Alfa Romeo continues to try to steal the show from my Dinkies. By the way, my wife of 45 years (Swiss, not Thai!) likes this display almost as much as I do. Best regards to all of you and I am looking forward to become an active member. Walter (Bungo)
