Coming back here to Fred's remarks in the 502 Foden Flat Truck thread, I found a picture of a surviving example of this display board. It was on display in the Derby Dinky Toys jubilee exhibition in 2009. I failed to ask who is the owner. Anyway a real Display Board shown below. It was photographed by Dave Busfield. Kind regards, Jan. P.S.: to be fully correct, the basic board still is a replica (as the captions states), but the majority of the accesories seem to be authentic!

At Christmas we are asking for world peace. So time to put my warmachines behind glass in a new cabinet.

it's always a pleasure to see fellow-collectors' displays. Nice cabinets, Kas! Kind regards, Jan

Although UV/daylight has no direct access to my display cabinets - they are mostly even in the dark - I turn my models every now and then in order to reduce even the slightest risk of discolouration. Although this appears to be a simple job, it isn't. Working too quickly or uncontrolled, with shaky hands, may cause a lot of damage. I just finished another display unit this afternoon. Photos taken after removing and subsequently before replacing the transparent cover plate. Kind regards, Jan

Jan, You should display your models on turntables with a clock control which would turn the models once a month. I have had the priviledge to visit your study many years ago and I was very impressed by that room, it has certainly changed a lot since and must be much better. Why dont you make a 360 video and post it here. I am certain that fellow collectors would apreciate and be as impressed as I was. All the best.Jacques

No360 video, Jacques, but I am fond of this photo, which I took this week for use in a lecture/presentation for the Namac (West region) the day before yesterday. In order to avoid reflections I removed the glass plates temporarily. Some Dinky Supertoys commercials on top, some pre- and early post-war models below. Kind regards, Jan
