Good grief Jacques - what has happened? Did you have too much Christmas cheer to bring a Solido into this auspicious site??? You should be made to stand in the corner!

dinkycollect wrote: 'You were too quick with your post, I was currently building mine.' Apologies - Perhaps there should be a thread DINKY COLLECTOR OF THE DAY as the above post is unusual, or have I had too much cheer? :woohoo: Bruce

. ' Daniel Patrick Macnee passed away yesterday in California aged 93, long remembered for his role as Secret Agent John Steed in the 161 episodes of the TV series of The Avengers, although Honor Blackman and then Diana Rigg would perhaps be better recalled by those young Dinky collectors. Thanks to Jacques for his Dinky contribution, and here are the models from Corgi produced between 1966 and 1969.

BruceA fine look back at the 'Avengers', which I loved to watch. And you are also correct that I have much fonder memories of Diana Rigg than Patrick McNee....as a young teenage boy, awestruck would be a vast understatement! Regards, Terry

Eighteen months late but many thanks Rob for your kind words on my Volvo line-up. I have had several people out here interested in the set, but I think I will hang onto them a little longer. Especially the white and lavender ones! With the new website having the ability to enlarge pictures, thought I would add another image of the foursome! Kind regards Bruce (150) 28 February 2016 0157 #804

Attention: Dave Kaun and Al Keeling With a number of us congratulating Jan Werner for his excellent Post on the Dinky Toys Queen Mary, the above is all that remains of that excellent Post - 23 words/dates! Is it possible to recover the rest of Jan's Post, as I recall him including pictures that showed the model in its first box before she was named 'Queen Mary' and launched. Kind regards Bruce(150)20160304/820/1510

Jan Nice display of those three models. Nice touch especially including the drawing of the Aston Martin! I presume next month you will have a Viscount, Ford Zephyr and a Leyland Octopus Wagon gracing the pages of Dinky of the Day! I will try and not steal your thunder! Kind regards Bruce (150)20160304/821/1827
