Jan & Richard----Thanks.....I also wonder why the Cibie van is so expensive, as they made them from 1959 through 1963. I assume that even though they made them for 4+ years, maybe a somewhat limited number were produced. I certainly do not see very many for sale. I happen to really like the color of the Cibie version, along with the colorful graphics....I am not certain I will pursue the other versions.....time will tell!Best regards, Terry

Greetings all! A recent arrival to match my existing 818 Camion Militaire Berliet Tous Terrains is a nice example of the first issue with the sales number of 80D. So here it is, together with its younger brother! What a terrible shame we in Australia, or at least in a large country town, never knew the existence of these fine Dinky Toys that came out of France! Kind regards Bruce (150) (Now back in Australia) 20160605/930/1100

Bruce----That looks quite nice and will be in good company with your other one. I also happen to like this model and the other Berliet versions.....pretty impressive and the French did a nice job with it. I have one, and will have to look again to see if it is earlier or later. Congrats on a nice acquisition!Best regards, Terry

A nice example of the first version with second box indeed, Bruce! Any special characteristics of the base plate to be noted in the 80d thread? Kind regards, Jan

Many thanks Terry and Jan. Yes, I too quite like this model as well as the cab chassis being used on other vehicles in the French range. I do apologise for the quality of both images though. Both were taken under very similar conditions, but something happened when I was cleaning up the latest images that has made the vehicle's colour look different. The second version is more matt than the first which can be explained by the latter having been played with more frequently. I will post images of both base plates under the 80D/818 topic in due course. Kind regards Bruce (150) 20160605/932/2022

The Citron DS 19 arrived last saturday morning. it's the second type of the 24 CP with a hard to find box with both numbers 522 and 24 CP The Peugeot 403 arrived this morning and I was waiting for it since a long, long time ! it's the first type with the full base plate The base plate of the second type is perforated in half circle to drag the caravan. Friendly yours Richard

Richard,Top marks to you for obtaining that very uncommon version of the 403, with the added bonus of that extremely uncommon dual-numbered box. Rare would be a better terminology, but I did not want to get carried away!!This is yet another model and box to be added to my wish list!Kind regardsBruce. (150) 20160608/935/0913

After a very pleasant day out, accompanying a Rolls-Royce owner friend of mine to the Louwman Museum in The Hague, I returned home finding a parcel waiting for me containing the four early post-war Dinky Toys shown below. Among them also a Rolls-Royce, an example to replace my present one, which has the flying lady broken off. So, at last a complete and sound no. 30b in the collection. The other ones are no. 22c Motor Trucks in bright green and matt brick red and an attractively coloured beige/brownish no. 30e Breakdown Van. Some of them for replacement, some new colour additions. Kind regards, Jan
