LMV stands for Le Matriel de Voirie. This vehicle type B 62 was build in Courbevoie a suburb of Paris. it's rear mounted Perkins 8 cylinders engine gives 95 hp. The tank contains 5500 liters of water, the top speed is only 40 km/h. Note that it is right hand drive. The Dinky Toys issued in May 1960 had a short life span of only three years, the yellow end flaps box never showed a drawing of the model but the instructions to operate the brush. Three of these models were packed in grey outers. The Auto-balayeuse LMV is the 200 th. Dinky Toys made at Bobigny.

We seem to be going down the same road as in www.planetdiecast.com with the same subjects coming up with the same pictures! I guess there may be many who are unaware of that website. Some current members of the DTCA have changed their picture profile though!!

Off topic: yes Bruce, you will find Terry and me on Planet Diecast every now and then, but lesser and lesser. There isn't (and in fact never was) much valuable Dinky discussion there. it's no use crying over spillt milk, but Talk Model Toys is/was the best, a very fine and logical structure, everything very easy to find, but being maintained and functioning worse and worse. Kind regards, Jan

Jan, TMT is still online but un-accessible by the usual way. Yesterday I have posted a link to the Muir-Hill dumper which leads to the TMT page (see a couple of posts above). I found this link with Google. The problem is that from this page one can not go to any other page. The problem with Planet diecast is that it is not compatible with Macs, there is a bug somewhere and the guys responsible for this site do not know how to fix it and anyway, as you write there is not much discussion there. WHERE IS OUR T M T ?
