Dave --That picture with the Fork Lift truck also brought back lots of memories. Like you, I also really enjoyed the play value with it, and also the anti-aircraft gun. I loved the way you could swivel the turret around, and then raise and lower it. I also liked the old field gun unit, as you coul un-hitch the units. I fondly remember being only 5 or 6 years old and playing with my few Dinky's on a bedspread on my bed. It had a neat pattern woven through it that was almost like a road, and I would run my cars around it. So many memories we all have of those long ago years, and how precious that we can re-live them today! And you are right, the cranes and the car transporter were right up there as fun to play with....thanks for sharing a memorable scene!!Terry

Dave,
you just be careful with the new cable: it has to get its place,
so just do not overstress / overload it at the beginning...LOL.Friendly,
Jacques H.

You are lucky to have found the French issue in excellent conditions,
one does not see many of them.

Jan,
Thank you for the picture of the base plate of this very rare variation,
specially in this state. This model was advertised in the 1959 catalogue but without any mention that it was assembled in France.
