Seeing the additions above it seems that the new collecting year has made a roaring start already. I could place two firsts in the 'French corner' today: the no. 25D Fourgonnette incendie 2CV Citron, the fire brigade van, and a red no. 29F Autocar Chausson, both boxed and in wonderful, virtually mint condition. Kind regards, Jan

Beautiful items Jan. Perhaps you know that there are 3 versions of the fire van 2cv. If it's not already done, I will open a new topic. Kind regards Richard

Jan---Nice new additions! I have always liked the various models of the Citroen 2cv, including those little vans. I believe mine is a later one with concave wheels...will need to see if I have posted before. Best regards, Terry

Thanks gentlemen. As variations and hubs are concerned: although there are a few exceptions in my collection, generally speaking my collecting profile for French Dinkies ends when new numbers and concave hubs - and windows - start (the same goes for the transition to spun hubs as the English ones are concerned). Of course there is nothing wrong with new numbers and concave or spun hubs, but for me it's a very clear and distinct delimitation, both practical, and also rather precisely defining my basic interest and fascination. I'm looking out for your variations to appear in the 25D topic, Richard, as you are our expert in that field! Kind regards, Jan

Hi all, Yesterday the Houten Toy Fair was on. I found a very nice late 109 Austin Healey Sports. It has the racing number 28 without the normal white discs. The model has a shiny base plate without the model number on it and treaded tires. On the box drawing you see the racing number 21 and the white discs, applied on most models in orange. Quite a rate varation, the first one I have seen. There is another in cream with RN 22 in stead of the usual 23. More difficult to spot as the white discs are less visible on a cream model. One day I will find one... Kind regards, Rob

Rob---Very nice & rare find! I have seen a few photos of this series without the white background for the numbers, but have never seen one myself. Good luck on finding the other one.... Best regards, Terry

You may have bought it after we met, Rob. Something special for you, as usual. I didn't buy anything, too busy selling at my stall (good sales, some at four times the price I paid!). Kind regards, Jan

The Peugeot is the very last version The ID ambulance is coming from Holland : for the export market Meccano did not apply the stickers 'ambulance municipale' on the doors. Nothing special for the others. Kind regards to all Richard
