Terry and Bruce - there was some thread fragmentation owing to the way I imported posts from the forum of the old website. It was a trade off against time. As we find them, we will consolidate any splintered topics. I will have a look at the active forum topics issue. The profile badges are a sort of experiment where I thought members could pick a number of the things from a list to represent their particular interests or relevant personal points. Flags of countries was the first idea. The wheels represent status - administrator, regular member... maybe there could be veteran poster or new member.Or maybe wheels of different periods - from prewar cast to modern plastic - could represent an 'up to' point for a collector. Maybe a propeller would announce a special interest in aeroplanes. I haven't really worked it all out or even created the icons yet. What does anybody else think about the badges? Are they worth bothering with even? The badges are shown in alphanumeric order - that's why David's 'administrator' badge is before 'canada' and your 'australia' badge is before your 'dtca member' wheel.

I looked at this thread quite closely and it seems unchanged. Back on the old website a discussion began about 23c mercedes which talked about their baseplates and digressed to compare with 23e Speed of Wind. A moderator clipped out that digression and used it as a new separate topic for 23e.That was on the old website and that is the structure that I transferred over. Since that time, new comments have been made to the 23e topic not any parallel topics. Is it possible that you're remembering something from a different forum, like Planet Diecast?

Al----Thanks for checking.....I just was looking at that thread last week, and could swear there were two separate posts for the 23e there. I do not normally frequent PlanetDiecast, so that was not it, but I did find elsewhere the images I was thinking of. Might have been a 'senior momemt for me'! Best regards, Terry

Dave and Al I am not sure what is going on, but 15 minutes ago, I opened the site, and read the latest Posts. I was then surprised to see that I was already logged in, although my username was not showing on the first page of the Forum. There were two others there but not me. So I opened another tab, and this time my username is showing! This is my second Post for today when I have not as yet logged in! Kind regards Bruce (150)

When you are logged out, you will see a login panel. My browser remember my username and password and I just have to click Login to complete the process. Once you are logged in, you no longer see the login panel - it is replaced with the User Menu, which does not show your name. I'm not exactly sure what you meant by opening another tab - so I assume that you meant you opened a new tab in your browser. If you then saw your name, I assume you meant that you saw the login panel - which means you were logged out at that moment. How could it happen that you logged out without really doing anything? I don't know. But logins use cookies to work and cookies can get corrupted. A cookie is a small temporary text file written to your computer that records various states - such as being logged in or out. The standard advice with cookie corruption is just to flush your cookie cache - which you should do periodically anyway. I would refer you to your particular software documentation for further instructions.

This is what happened. Early this morning about 3.00am I logged out, waited until the window showed me as having logged out, and then I closed all my browser windows, Outlook and all other files and turned off my computer. This morning, I turned on the computer, opened the dtca website, and started checking the latest stuff without logging in, with the first thing I noticed was the need to respond to a Post. The correspondence had all the icons relative to the situation as if I had logged in which at that time I had not. I then scrolled up and where normally it has my identity and password ready for me to hit enter, I saw that this had already been done.. By coincidence, I flushed my system yesterday at noon, and did a further disc clean-up and Norton re-examination. That might have had something to do with it. So I scrolled back down and typed my message to you. I then closed all my browser windows and this time, I had to log back. Thanks anyway. Oh one last thing, in recent weeks, after logging out and refreshing the page, I always found my username still showing as being logged in. Today that seems not to have happened.

Hello Dave The following title under the British Commercial Vehicles section: 465 Morris J Van 'Capstan Cigarettes' (1959) Should be changed to: 465 Morris Commercial Van - Capstan (1957 - 1959) To reflect exactly the title Meccano used. The model was released in March 1957 and I have the 465 listed in the Dinky Toys Order Form for September 1959, Reference D/T9/15 but not in the Order Form for the following month, October 1959, it being the only small commercial van that was no longer available for dealers to order. (Reference Post #7 under the 465 topic.) Kind regards Bruce (150) 20160424/913/0206

Thanks Al for attending to these two corrections, particularly the 281 Pathe News Camera Car. Finally, referring to my discussion on the 513, 913 and 433 Guy Flat Truck with Tailboard with Terry, the following is a copy of the first paragraph, of my Post #8:'For some inexplicable reason, the first six Posts have absolutely nothing to do with the topic, '513, 913 and 433 Guy Flat Truck with Tailboard (1947-57'. Only Terry's Post has anything to do with the topic, so hopefully someone will transfer the first 6 Posts to a new appropriate Topic that refers to the Guy WARRIOR.' Hopefully you will be able to create a new topic for the GUY WARRIOR and transfer the first six Posts to that topic. With all that is going on with the new website, my original Post may have been missed Kind Regards Bruce (150) Beijing, China 20160530/925/1112

Al Another one for you to look at and correct. This pertains to the 665 HONEST JOHN MISSILE LAUNCHER (1964-1975). This is what I have written under that Topic:0cm;line-height:10.9pt]'Greetings all0cm;line-height:10.9pt]I was perusing my Dealer Order Forms for 1972 while looking for an answer to a question raised by Ron in New Zealand, when I noticed that the 665 Honest John Missile Launcher was still available for dealers to order as late as September 1976.0cm;line-height:10.9pt]See the attached image.0cm;line-height:10.9pt]Although the model is not listed in the 1976 Catalogue, its deletion date of 1975 should still be moved one year forward for the reason mentioned above.'0cm;line-height:10.9pt]One final matter, Meccano never included the name of the manufacturer in its sales material, on the model's box or the model itself. Can you please delete 'INTERNATIONAL' from the title of the topic thus keeping the name as used by Meccano, even if the model is in fact based on an International truck chassis.0cm;line-height:10.9pt]Thank you for attending to the 465 Capstan Van and 281 Pathe News Camera Car.0cm;line-height:10.9pt]Kind regards0cm;line-height:10.9pt]Bruce ( 150)0cm;line-height:10.9pt]20160611/937/2249

After reading through this, I wasn't sure what you were asking, Bruce. But maybe David Kaun got to this already. Unless the issue is something to do with a technical aspect of the site at fault, all queries about content should be addressed to David as the webmaster. From what I recall, Honest John was last available in the blister plinths of 1974. There were three new military pieces in 1975, so something had to be retired. I don't think 665 was even mentioned in the 1975 catalogue, was it?
