Hi Terry All the manufacturers leaflets you see are scans from original literature which I own. I have collected them over the last 10 to 15 years. I tend to concentrate on cars, or trucks, which were modelled by Dinky or Corgi, plus a couple that have significant personal interest. I think they are a wonderful snapshot back to another age and absolutely fascinating - some of them true works of art. The illustrators were very highly skilled people. Dave

Dave-That is what I thought...that you collected those old leaflets and catalogs, and I agree, they are wonderful to look at. I love the look of the old illustrations and they go perfectly with Dinky Toys from the same era. Thanks for pairing up so many for us to see and appreciate!Terry

Dave--Nice picture of that leaflet and it again appears that Dinky made a very accurate model of the Motocart. About when was that made and available? I am guessing after the war, thru early 1950's?Very interesting little vehicle that I do not ever remember seeing here in the U.S....thanks for showing!Terry

The Motocart was made by a firm called SE Opperman in Boreham Wood from 1948 to at least the end of the 1950s. They were never an everyday vehicle, I never saw one as child other than the lovely Dinky Toy. I found a real one this year at a steam fair in the UK, here it is:
The Dinky Toy is a very good representation. Dave

The Comet has a very distinctive front end design, which Dinky captured very well. Nice leaflet once again....thanks Dave!Terry

Dave-- The Studebaker tanker has always been one of my Dinky favorites....just a very nicely done model, with a very distinctive front to it. That is also a very nice leaflet photo that shows the detail nicely. I also have these, and am posting a couple of pictures of the later Mobilgas version and the less common robins eggs blue decal version of the Esso tanker.Terry
