Jacques Yes, you are better then I, but my two Bs are about my usual school examination passes, with never an A so I am happy!  Bruce (150) #575

A fascinating model this is. Cecil Gibson said: A much more courageous issue in September [1964] was a Leyland 8-wheel chassis, representing something seen on the road but never modelled. The bare chassis carried a half cab and driver, and three ballast weights. The prop-shaft rotated when the vehicle moved . Like so many models of this era it contains a lot of plastic, which was slowly replacing many former diecast parts. The model shown here is a recent addition of mine, and I must confess that my admiration for this miniature has grown, having inspected all these moving parts and details. I believe that some detailed pictures can replace a lot of words, so below you can see some of the pictures I made today. My example bears the B below the red front, and the weights show an A (twice) and a B once. For you to study the pictures. Kind regards, Jan

Regarding the raised pad under the chassis, presumed to be for a catalogue number - could it be that this was deleted when it was decided to use the same chassis casting for 925, the Leyland Tipper Truck?
