Jan, You must explain your post, it must be a joke. Is this elaborate piece of furniture an Atlas ? can you explain ? They will not stop, they are making so much money on these. They certainly pay less than 5 Euro franco for one of these trucks. The profit is 30

(Jacques, although with a wink it's no joke, but an illustration of the mixed feelings I have with the notion 'Atlas'. Contrary to the made-in-China Atlas Dinky's, I have no mixed but only positive feelings with the Blaeu-atlas (11 volumes, 1664) illustrated, one of the thousands of antique and modern atlases I had the honour to have the responsibility for as curator in the past 35 years, kind regards, Jan)

Good question Sierra. I have found that three more rejects have been sold on eBay U.K. It is known that there was a shop in Liverpool selling some of Meccano's rejects but this is hearsay and there is no evidence. dead ebay link Jan, I had not seen that your picture showed a book shelve. Those that I have made are not so elaborate. This Atlas must be facinating, how lucky you were to have access to such a treasury.

Why buy rejects when the normal ones will probably be available for next to nothing ?

Atlas UK has issued the French Dinky Mercedes 190 SL in October and the 23c Mercedes racing car in December, which were the November and January models ? As Atlas can not or is not willing to do it, could somebody inform us every month of the new issue with it's manufacturing number 4 659 1??
