With the recent Dinky reissues including rare colour schemes and ones that never were, such as liveries or colours or prototypes, and the threat of new from GFCC Toys such as the Jaguar SS or Citroen SM, there are of course more long standing Dinky style models to consider. It is over 20 years ago since Odgi of Chiswick made their few selected ones, a Jaguar XK150, a Jowett Javelin, a Triumph Dolomite, a Daimler Conquest Roadster, a sit up and beg Ford Prefect and a Ford Consul. I dont think there were any others?I just acquired this rather nice metallic green Ford Consul Mk II Lowline. I think it came in a light blue as well.

A fine article is to be found in Model Collector: HERAUD, Jos F., Odgi Toys of Yesterday: The Dinkys that never were! In: Model Collector 17:1 (January 2003) pp. 47-50. It shows: Triumph Dolomite, Jowett Javelin, Ford Prefect, eight Jowett Bradford vans, Austin Hampshire, Jaguar XK150, Daimler Conquest, MKII Ford Consul (in maroon) and Bugatti 57-S. Kind regards, Jan

Thanks Jan. Ill have to go through the boxes in the attic for that 2003 issue! I should have remembered the Hampshire as a friend had a real Hampshire Woodie estate - interesting as it had chassis notches for the steering column on both sides. He bought it in Canada in LHD (part of the post war export or bust drive) and brought it back to the UK and restored it as RHD. I had a Bradford van in Walls livery.
