David Kaun, a long time member of the DTCA and webmaster of this site for many years, sadly died on Friday - 11th December 2020 - after battling a long illness. I joined David and the website builders about five years ago as a technical adviser and have corresponded with him ever since - and so can certainly say that he will be greatly missed.

I knew of Dave's health problems, and that they often bothered him in functioning the way he wanted to, but I wasn't aware they were so critical. I met him once in person in Derby, in 2009. This is a great loss indeed. Dave was always very friendly and conscientious in our correspondence. My condolences to his family and friends. At the same time I hope (and trust) we will be able to maintain and develop the website for the time to come. This will be a continuing challenge. Kind regards, Jan

I do not remember meeting Dave but it is always sad to see a fellow collector gone. Several have gone already. My condolescences to Dave's family. Jacques.

I came in contact with Dave first time in 2015 when I had problems logging in to the DTCA website. We kept in touch via email and I also bought a small part of his Dinky collection. Dave's wife Amy died just before Dave and according to Dave's son Fredrick, Dave simply lost the will to live on. I miss him. Ragnar
