Some yesterday's arrivals. The Super G is a code 3 but it looks so nice to me that I could not resist.
Not new but so nice with its cream wheels, the Simca 5 is my first one in red colour. The Mercedes 300 SE is the red version (not the red/orange) and has the letters A & B engraved under the front right wing. I already had the Floride but in a bad condition. So, this one mint in box is a good improvement. Friendly yours. Richard

Exciting stuff, Richard! Especially the Mercedes Racing Car with metal wheels and the tiny Fiat. But the Constellation in TWA livery is very special too ... One could make an endless range of different airline finishes like this. Kind regards, Jan

Hi Jan. For Meccano it's not a Fiat but a Simca. In fact, it's the french Simca 5. Yes Jacques, you're right ! Do you know that Meccano modified the mould for the front of the post war production ? The radiator grilles are different : the latest has a
shape and the body parts, holding the front axles, are straight for the pre-war model and curved for the post-war one. Will show you that in the right topic. Kind regards Richard

Dear Richard, The book 'Les Dinky Toys Franais 1934 - 1940' does mention the front grille variation (page 119 - 3) but not the one for the front axle posts but I do not have any pictures to illustrate these variations. Do you have both models so that we can make the pictures during our next meeting ?The drawing N 1849 does not mention these variations.

Of course my dear ! As you saw on my photo above, I got a pre-war model recently and I compared it with my post-war items. Kind regards Richard

These 3 Dinky toys arrived yesterday but are not really new in my collection. The Simca Chambord and the Alfa was already in my cabinets but in poor conditions. So now, they are replaced by mint in box models. For the saviem, I had a complete exemplar but without box. Now it's in order. Kind regards Richard

Thank you Jan. In fact, I moved some Solido, Mercury, Corgi from a cabinet to a cardboard box, to make place for my new Dinky. So it's OK..... for the moment !
I am waiting for three new arrivals and specially one, coming from your country Jan. it's the first type, second version (dixit JM Roulet) of the Citron 2cv van A.N.W.B. On the box there is still a sticker from L.P. van de Vugt in the Hague. Will show you as soon as I receive it. Kind regards Richard
