34b and 581 Berliet plateau porte container [Berliet Container Truck] (1956-1965)

Dear Friends, Here is a new thread. This Berliet is a very nice little truck and I had a lot of pleasure to play with. On the photo below you will see 5 Berliet : they are all different. The game can be to find the differences ! :laugh: :laugh: As I suppose that Jacques will be the winner and that it would not be fair for the others members, I give the details :Photo 1 : The one in the middle, is the first type with the container ring in iron On its left, when looking at the photo, it's the same but the container ring is moulded with the container.Photo 2 : The one in the middle is the third type with concave hubsPhoto 3 and 4 : On the right : the hook is paint in black ! it's the second type. On the left : the safety wheel is not screwed but riveted.There is missing an item with concave hubs and riveted safety wheel.That's all folks ! :)Kind regardsRichard

Richard-- Very nice little collection of the Berliet's that you there, and with so many variations. That is a nice truck and I always liked it...such a unique look with that distinctive cab. I only have one, and believe it to be an early one, with ridged hubs and the separate metal eyelet on top of the container. Terry
