As a bargain I received this red Ford Thunderbird Cabriolet without a box, but nice for display. It is the model of construction year 1960. A beautiful luxury car that speaks to everyone's imagination. I add photos of a Ford Thunderbird Convertible 1960 sold at a Las Vegas auction in 2008 for $ 50,600. Kind regards, Jan Oldenhuis Hoogvliet-Rotterdam 3-5-2017

Thanks Jan O for submitting photographs of your newly arrived Ford Thunderbird. What is the colour of its interior? I really liked the photographs you included of the T'Bird that sold for $50,600 in 2008. Attached is a sales promotion photograph and another prochure of the 1960 Ford Thunderbird that shows how accurate the French Dinky factory made their model. Interestingly, although nothing to do with the 1960 version of the T'Bird, but the 50 Millionth Ford Car produced was a 1958 Ford Thunderbird on 16 March 1958. Kind regards Bruce H. Bruce-you added nice pictures. Interesting to know that the 50 Millionth Ford Car produced was a 1958 Ford Thunderbird on 16 March 1958. I did not know that. The colour of the interior is difficult to determine. It seems light beige, but there is some discoloration. Maybe discolored from sky-blue to beige? I added a photo. Kind Regards, Jan Oldenhuis.

Thanks, Jan and Bruce, for the documentation on this wonderful model. I have always been fond of this French Dinky 555 Ford Thunderbird, 'La belle Amricaine', and it has been in my possession for 55 years already. What I didn't like is the ridiculous deflection of the fingertip steering and the wide open space behind the front wheels. This 'Squarebird' of 1958-1960 is my favourite T-Bird. Many details, like the little 'sashes' at the rear, are quite neatly represented. I remember having been much surprised receiving a white one, because all early catalogue pictures show a red one. In the era before internet could answer any questions, I bought the nice book Ford T-Bird, by Malcolm Birkitt, in order to anwer all my questions regarding this French American. Kind regards, Jan W

Two new, recently taken pictures of the Ford Thunderbird, my 1962 birthday present. The other French American beauty, the Chrysler New Yorker, was added 56 years later! Kind regards, Jan
