I met up with Robert in Nellie Dean's in Soho and we had some nice 'real ale', lovely meat pies for lunch and a great chat about Dinky Toys. As the weather had improved through the day we then just did some sight seeing until I had to head to St Pancras for my train home. I had never met Robert before and it was lovely to get a fresh perspctive from a knowledgeable, and well travelled, collector. All together a most enjoyable day. Dave
Many thanks to David Busfield for coming to London to spend some time with me. It was truly one of the highlights of my trip. With Dinky Toys as a starting point, we had interesting discussions on a wide range of topics, and I learned a lot about beer, ale, London, England, the Underground, history, pub food, etc. etc. All in all a most enjoyable experience.
