Hi, this is my first post on the Forum. I joined dtca last year having been a long time collector. My collecting tends to run in themes (which I'm sure is not unusual). One month it might be military, then car carriers, then US cars, then Vauxhalls, each time uncovering a rich seam to mine. I like the top ten feature and am pondering on what my top ten might be.............

Welcome to the forum. All of us have our favourites
and that makes every collection different
and fascinating.I tend to concentrate on Military
and trade boxes but my collection is mainly items
from
1948 to 1962 which were the ones I played with as a child.Dave

Welcome aboard ! Let ' s see some of your collection,
personally I have collected Dinky,
Spot On,
Triang,
Lesney,
Shackleton,
etc etc for years but now it ' s pretty much Dinky only,
and I have a cut off of 1964.I change my mind so often that I have to
set
myself targets for each year,
if it was easy anybody could do it ! Chris Warr,

Welcome to the forum
from
a member in Southern California ! This is a great Dinky forum
and we really like to see pictures,
so be sure
and post some for us.I am a collector since my childhood
and have collected near all types of Dinky ' s so I do not have a specific theme to follow,
but more what interests me at the moment.I enjoy pre - war as well as post - war,
up until about 1960,
and collect French Dinky ' s as well.We look forward to hearing more
from
you
and seeing some of your collection ! Terry

I show here a couple of models
from
my collection. The front older taxi has had a small prang on the front wing (thats London traffic for you !).The old Taxicab is the pre war 36g Austin Taxi (post war issue) which I believe is a 12 / 4 LL (low loading) with Jones of Bayswater landaulette bodywork. This compares favorably in size & scale with the earlier 12 / 4 HL (High Lot) modelled by Lledo 47001.To the rear is the archetypal FX3
