Does anybody else have this green hubbed bin lorry? I have looked at quite a few auction results etc and have not found one yet.Cheers Chris Warr.

Hi Chris, both are rather scarce but not unknown (and Ramsay's has its limitations). These are in my documentation, both from Vectis auctions: The Refuse Wagon with green hubs is interesting in that way that it apparently spans a certain time-stretch, because yours will not be later than ca. 1958 and the one shown here is not earlier than 1960.

Just found a picture of my own (regular) Refuse Wagons, both post-1960 with treaded tyres and with windows, but different boxes. In fact the one on the right is my brother's, which he got ca. 1962. Still in very fine shape, except for the box, which partly served as a meal for a nasty silver fish. Regards, Jan

A month or more ago, I received an email from the Dinky Toys: Collectors Club 14 North Street, Bourne, Lincs, PE10 9AB, advertising the release of the latest edition of John Ramsay's catalogue. Yesterday I received another simillar email, and ilike the first email, no one outside the UK or Europe can order the catalogue at this exclusive price. I think this is totally unfair simply due to the publisher not interested in obtaining postage costs for the US, Australia, New Zealand and other countries where Dinky Toys collectors reside. So I guess we who live outside Europe are considered inconsequential !! Bruce -- good to have you back and hopefully well! I have not seen a copy of Ramsay's catalogue in many years. Is it still useful in these days of electronic resources (the Dinky Toys Encyclopedia for reference, and sale prices via eBay and Vectis completed auctions)?

What is also unfair is the 20,00 shiping cost.
