Recently I bought a new Meccano catalogue France 1960 with the French Meccano Dinky Toys price lists. When I went to look at the booklet, I found, to my surprise, a 1960 French Dinky Toys order form in addition to the usual Meccano price lists with Dinky Toys. I myself have several Meccano UK order forms with Dinky Toys in them, but I had never seen such a French Dinky Toys order form. I couldn't find any information about this in the usual documentation either. What struck me is that the old and new numbers were still listed, while the renumbering already took place in 1959. In that 1960 order form, 4 imported UK models are included as 'Dernires Nouveauts 1960 Dinky Supertoys', namely: 666L Fuse Corporal et accesoires; 697L Coffret Artillery; 930L Camion Bedford palettes; 965L Benne Lourde Euclid, where also the French prices are mentioned. In the French September 1960 Dinky Toys price list, which belongs to the 1960 French DT catalogue, these 4 UK models are also listed, but without price indication.I find this special enough to show this information with the relevant images on the forumand as a promotion for these valuable and very nice French documents.I have still a question for our French members: Was this 'Meccano Hall d'exposition et vente au dtail' in Paris, mentioned on the deaers shop stamp on my French 1960 DT catalogue, part of Meccano Bobigny?Jan Oldenhuis, 15 August 2021

Jan The Meccano shop of Boulevard des Capucines was part of Meccano France s.a. just like there was one in London somewhere in a smart district. Sorry but I can not find the photo of the London one. A couple of years ago I went to 5 boulevard des Capucines but there is absolutely nothing left of the shop, one can not even imagine that there was a shop there. As a teen ager, I had been several time there and I can remember the wooden shop front, I have never seen any other customer there, this shop was not known and probably costed the compagny a lot of money and made no profit.

Jacques, thank you very much for your affirmative answer. It crossed the moment when I was in the process of creating a new topic on this question. Jan Oldenhuis
