974 AEC Hoynor Car Transporter (1968-75) was created by dinkycollect
My 974 car transporter has die cast ramps.
my 616 tank transporter has plastic ramps which are different from the die cast ones. Are there any car transporters with plastic ramps ? I think not but have no evidence. Are there any tank transporters with die cast ramps ?I think not but have no evidence. Are there any helicopter transporters with die cast ramps ?I think not but have no evidence.I must say that these tank and helico transporters were about the worst from Meccano. Thanks for your help.

The AEC Hoynor transporter should have had a green cab and a yellow trailer, as pictured on its box, because those were the actual colors of Silcock and Colling Ltd. Clearly at the last moment somebody at Binns Road decided that it had to be 'brightened up' in order to appeal more to children. How stupid! As shown in the picture I have attached, the company actually used Ford D800 tractors. Dinky's modelling of the trailer was surprisingly accurate. Regarding the tank and helicopter versions, yes, they are horrible.
