Very nice...I really like that color combo.I have seen listed on eBay a yellow with black wings for a lot of money.Thanks for showing a beautiful Guy ! Terry

Here is my Guy 4 - Ton Lorry,
also in blue,
with the later Supertoys wheels.I would guess this is
from
about 1955 -1956,
as I bought this new shortly
after
that.I have always really liked this particular Guy truck...a very nice model !
And Jan,
I agree with you on the older ones with the accent color front wings
or fenders.There is one listed for sale recently that is all yellow,
with black wings,

My 'collection improvement policy' of replacing poorer models by better ones includes finding (correct) boxes for unboxed examples. The dark green version was unboxed up to now. The other day I happened to find a matching nice green paper covered box. Mind you, the inner cardboard flaps are fixed to the sides by staples. One flap, however, is not (the box kept togetjer there by the green paper only), in order to prevent the cab's roof from scratching and rubbing. So this is the only correct way to keep it inside its box. The red one was provided with a box right from the start, an acquisition of last June.
