25 Series Progress, and a question. was created by starni999
Hi Gents, Been away for a bit, so thought I'd catch up, I've been concentrating on the early Series lately, and am not doing too bad with the 25 Series, I've just got these two...
Here's the total progress so far........
Now a question, reading Cecil Gibson's Dinky Toys 1934 - 64 book he casts doubt on whether some 25 Series bodies were available as Type 1's. I need a covered wagon, tipper, and flat bed, I know the tipper exists, but don't recall seeing the other two, of course a covered wagon could be a wagon with another tilt fitted, but were these issued originally?Chris Warr.

Chris-- Nice additions to your already impressive collection of 25 series. I have always loved that series, with the many variations available. Terry

Cheers Terry, I've since found a few more pictures of Type 1's, but Red for the Wagon, Blue for the Flatbed, and Blue / Cream for the covered wagon are still the only colours I've seen. Amazingly in Cecil Gibson's book he says that the 25 Series (being roughly 00 I presume) are not popular with some Dinky collectors, How times and attitudes have changed in 40 + years! Chris Warr.
