From the Meccano Magazine of September 1951 comes this nice little goods yard scene with Hornby '0' gauge railways a Dinky Leyland Comet and a couple of Dinky Guy Vixens.

Jan Another fascinating piece, I can add another snippet to this. The picture at the bottom still shows the original owner of the Guy (Ballards Transport from Surrey) and the new signs for the British Road Services. The BRS markings have been crudely put on top of the old markings so this will date the photograph to early 1948 when road transport was nationalised in Britain. A nice link as it was very much around this time when the first Dinky Guys were introduced and they were difficult to get hold of as exports took priority at this time. Dave
