Not known to me either. A very crisp example though! Are the bright, clean rubber treads still original? 2-way radio, a very period connected expression! And what would the connection be between a Heavy Tractor and radio? Is there any other reference to this apparent promotional on the box (if present)? Is there a dated control stamp in the box? Kind regards, Jan Werner

With apologies for the time delay - I don't have the box so cannot answer the questions posed. I assumed the green treads are replacements as I believe the originals are black. Is this true? Nor can I make any connection between a heavy tractor and a 2-way radio. To my knowledge the person I bought it from has no idea of the connection between the ad and the tractor. Is there any printed material on 'trade' or 'advertising' pieces made by Dinky?

Studebaker Golden Hawk - #169. I have a very nice but unusual model of this toy in that on the left rear wheel there is a curious plastic disk which appears to be an addition in the sense of a tire enhancer or 'white wall' tire. It is a perfect match for the colour of the hubs but exists on the one wheel only. If someone wanted to decorate the model, why not put a disk on all four wheels? Is this just a fluke or something more? Any insights gratefully received.
