Dear friends, I got a new Chrysler 39e and it's one of my favorite in the 39 series. It has white tyres and my question is : are they original ? They looks very old and are in a very poor condition. Has some members already saw this assemblage ? Shades in the green colour : And a family photo (that I already posted on this forum!) of my Chryslers (the last one above with white tyres, is missing) CheersRichard

May be you like some additional pictures: The Chrysler as shown in the USA catalogue of 1951. Remarkable that this image has not been modernized and still is the completely outdated pre-war representation, showing white tyres and smooth hubs, the design style quite different from the other model images on the same page. And as an extra this wooden prototype, described for the first time by Julien Loffet: Dinky designs. In: Modellers

Greetings all This is my 39e Chrysler Royal Sedan, bought seven years ago from its original owner who was extremely fastidious with his Dinky Toys as one can see from its condition. It is almost totally mint with just a couple of extremely minor imperfections. It was given to him for Christmas in the late Forties. Kind regards Bruce

Bruce, I am rather purist, but you have my consent to call that mint! :) It strikes me, in comparison, that the front windows realized on de production Dinky Chrysler are much bigger, higher, than visible both on the mock-up and the catalogue picture. Regards, Jan

Kind regards Bruce ' Greetings all Thought you all might like to know that Chrysler Australia with their development of the 1955 Plymouth P25 incorporating a number of local variations including a wrap-around rear window decided to name their new model 'Royal' thus reviving the name Chrysler Royal that had been in production in the United States between 1937 and 1950. The new Australian model, a very worthy competitor to the General Motors-Holden Holden FE, FC, FB and EK models and towards the end of its production life that also included the Australian Ford Falcon was in production between 1957 and 1963. Kind regards Bruce The first version of the Australian Chrysler Royal Sedan The last production version of the Australian CHRYSLER ROYAL SEDAN

Cheers' Richard I presume the DINKY MAGAZINE is the journal for the French Dinky Toys club? I used to be a member when I published my DINKY NEWS. Guy Girod from the French Club used to provide me with a page for DINKY NEWS covering French models. Is the club still operating? I asked this question in another post but, typically like many posts, it did not receive a response! Bruce

Bruce, This is the same as when you write to Guy Girod, You never get an answer and even if you give him something, this rude person does not say thank you, he does not even talk to you. The Club Dinky France is not legally a club as there is no yearly AGM. It is a mercantile organisation who produces a magazine which contains interesting information but is of very poor quality. Guy makes his money from the models from P & P copy models which are sold directly by Ian Law but Guy gets a large percentage. I have been a member for one year and have attended the AGM which at the time was held every second year and that was enough for me. The AGM's were always held in Caen. What would the DTCA members say if their AGM was always held in Edinburgh. According to any dictionary, a club is a place or organisation in which members MEET. In Guy's so called club, there is no way to meet other members.

Jacques - I had no problems with Guy, and when I mentioned being a 'member', perhaps I should clarify. Guy sent me material, I sent him material in exchange, and we both exchanged each other's newsletters/journals. I always found him helpful and enthusiastic. That was 13 years ago. My question concerned the Dinky Magazine, a page from which Richard included a copy. I presume therefore that this is what Guy Girod produced or is it some other organisation? I am not really interested in any politics about clubs etc, just a simple answer to a simple question. Thank you.
