39d Buick Viceroy Saloon (1939-50)

Great to see so many Buicks.I attach mine with an Atlas Packard behind;the Atlas construction comes in a little lighter in weight.Whoops photo too big,

but it isn ' t,
actually I made the picture resolution some 15 % higher than in the catalogue.Besides,

Dirk -- that military Buick is a repaint.

Good morning Johnny. Thank you, I thought as much. Please tell me if it is known that some Dinky's were delivered without base plates in the early day's of Dinky production? Thank you Dirk

Dirk -- there are some Dinky Toys that inherently have no base plates, and they are generally identified by having Dinky Toys and Meccano Ltd. marked as part of the main body casting. I am not aware of any that were first issued without any baseplate and later gained one. If any do exist another member is welcome to correct me on this!

There is at least one model which started off with no base and later gained one, the 25h fire engine.
