Some comparative pictures of the earlier and the later versions of the Bristol Britannia Airliner, showing the differences in colour (silver to grey metallic), lining (blue to red), transfers (spirit based to water slide), propeller size (large Shetland size to smaller Viking size), roof (smooth to seam in the middle), wheels (larger to smaller), wing registration number stamp (exact to less accurate, but that may be incidental). The boxes (blue striped to yellow picture box) and other finish details are similar to the contemporary Comet models. At the end my favourite photo of the Bristol Britannia about to land. I believe its no use repeating all data and discussions about this model on talkmodeltoys, so here is the link: www.talkmodeltoys.com/discus/messages/27...1685.html?1325586457 Kind regards, Jan

Some more pictures: the final 'red one' in some more detail, showing the (discoloration of the) water based transfers, the metallic grey finish, the tiny black plastic wheels and the smaller size propellers. The next one a scan of the illustrated lid top and finally a view of the actual prototype.
