Dinky Bedford's.... a milestone completed!

Just a few days ago, I received the last Dinky Toys Bedford truck model that I needed to complete my personal collection of these nice trucks. For some reason, when I was younger, I did not focus much on these, and only had one, the military truck, for many years. Then some time ago, I added the Refuse truck, then last year found a very nice Articulated Lorry. Then this year, I added the Tipping Wagon, and just this week completed the set by finding a very nice Bedford Truck....and that was amazing, as it was from an eBay seller only a few miles from where I live in S. California. Am also showing a few pictures of the rest of them....neat little trucks in a variety of configurations. Terry An excellent collection of the Bedford O series,
and what is better you have one of the less common versions of the tipper as it is usually in mid - blue.But it is nice that they all are in excellent condition ! I replied to your query about Wallis

Terry I second Dave ' s motion.A very nice line - up ! Now to fill in all the different colour schemes for the tipper
and articulated ! As for the photography - first class Terry.How do you do it ? I do mine out in the sunshine,
but would prefer indoors,
except
I would probably have to make a light box,

and Dave for your nice comments ! I have worked hard this past year on my photography
and now feel it is at least decent.Here is what I use: a Nikon D5100 DSLR camera,
with 18 -55 lens a tripod a manufactured,
mail ordered light box...measuring about 24 ' x24 ' x24 '....this was inexpensive
and is portable
and can be taken down.2 separate light sources,
that I received with the light box.Each of these has a compact fluorescent bulb,
of the correct color temperature.I would also prefer to use more available sunlight,
but find it very limiting....not the right time of the day,
wrong angle,
etc.I do not have any suitable windows that allow enough sunlight in,
so use the above box almost always.I use very small lens aperture,
around f28,
to maximize depth of field.
and also use a cable release as shutter speeds are then slow.The biggest challenge is then positioning the two lights for best effect.I find I usually hand hold them in different positions
and angle for best effect,
and to avoid unwanted reflections.I then use Adobe Photoshop Elements to edit the images...cropping,
and adjusting light
and color balance.I really enjoy photography
and taking pictures of my Dinky Toys....I usually download quite a few of them
and have them on my Iphone
and Ipad so I can sneak a quick look at my favorite models almost anytime ! Terry

And I share Jan ' s view that enjoying the photography of our Dinky ' s is very rewarding in itself,
and further adds interest to our hobby.By the way,
to any of you not already have a tablet,
such as an Ipad.....the photos,
when downloaded
and shown on my Ipad are simply so much sharper,
brighter,
and overall better than on a normal computer screen.It is like the difference between HD
and regular tv ! Terry

The difference between a tablet
and a normal computer screen is amazing,
most PC screens are intended for spreadsheets / databases etc.
and do not handle images very well.I use a large Apple HD display
and it is the same as a tablet,
the downside is that they cost a fortune.When I was a working photographer mine was offset against tax.Dave
