I've always loved the Comet, and know there are lots of hub colours etc on these, I got these two this week........

And here are the others I've got so far.......

I've got another six on my variations list, but any pictures of Comets would be very helpful. Was there ever a Blue Cab / Chassis with a Brown wagon back? I don't think so, and believe the ones I've seen are back swops? Chris Warr.

Chris--That's a nice bunch of Comet's you have there. I always thought they were a nice truck and took their place nicely along side the Foden's and Guy's. I only have three of them...one of each basic style, but only one color of each. Nicely done!Terry

Jan --I think it is nice to take a nice, long look at these Leyland trucks, as I think they tend to get lost between all the attention that the Foden's and the Guy trucks get. They are very nice models, and very well represent the 1:1 prototypes that I have seen pictures of. It is a shame that Dinky did not model some other bed styles in the years that these were in production. You have a nice collection in some of the different colors available, while I only have one of each. It will be interesting to see if some of the other color variations show up as well, besides what you and Chris have already shown. Terry
