Hi Gents, I was pleased to get this one today....... With his Brothers... What a shame Dinky didn't make more use of the lovely Commer, especially as it's virtually interchangable with the Bedford.Chris Warr.

A great trio of Commers there. Grey and blue is my favourite colour scheme on this one, although I also like the late red and grey (I need to get myself a decent one of these to replace the wreck I currently have). Dinky really could have done a lot more with this Commer, although when they finally did get around to making the Convertible Articulated Truck it seems to have been rather a flop. A shame, as I rather like it!

Some more about the Commer now, if you like. This is my Commer duo. I have always liked the grey/blue one too. Especially I like the early orange lid-boxes, of which I hope to acquire at least one in the future. I found a picture of the real one too. This confirms what I always thought: the front window is so low, so narrow compared with the real one. This model begs for a play scene which you can also see below. Finally, it is regretted that the model was not adopted for more variants. An unusual variant is of course the c. 10 years ago produced version for the never made Articulated Streamlined Petrol Tanker. Nice speculation, but it was meant to be coupled to a Bedford truck, making it a Bedford Articulated Streamline Petrol Tanker, like the version shown all below. Kind regards, Jan

Wonderful pictures Jan, I remember the real Superpoise well, in fact I have a picture somewhere of me as a child sitting on the bumper of a 4x4 Army Superpoise Radio wagon, what a Dinky THAT would have made! Picked up this one this week, no where near as good condition as the others, and no box this time, but it still looks good on display...... Has anybody got the cream cab / light blue rear version? I've been looking for years....... Chris Warr.

Jan--Wonderful photos as usual, and I really like the tanker version. It would have been nice if Dinky had used that Commer cab on some other models....it was very nice looking and very distinctive. Terry

Lovely Commers Richard, I see you have the Red / Grey with red hubs, I still need that one, in plastic and diecast. Have you got the yellow / grey version? I've not seen many, and have been told they may be an error based on the Commer artic cab? Chris Warr.

it's surprising just how many different colour schemes there are on this model. Unfortunately the most attractive ones are the rarer items! Dinky is just one of my collecting interests, so I can't even try and go for everything. However, I would like to upgrade my rather tatty red and grey version.
