Hi Richard, it's only now that I noticed your new thread - I wonder what others think of this rather unclear notification system, split in 'new forum topics' and 'comments'. In fact such a 'structural' forum topic like this should be present, pre-created, in any case, ready for use, in my modest opinion. A nice quartet of camionettes de depannage, Richard. Could you please comment which the exact differences are? It should be easy to replace the conspicuous ordinary replacement string on one of them by a red one, don't you think? Kind regards, Jan

Dear Jan; Thank you for your interest. First version: 1st and 3rd photos :it's the first on the right with a 35A box and the large uncarved tools box. 4th photo : below, on the right, with the closed petrol-tank. The three others have an opened petrol-tank Second version: 1st and 3rd photos : The second from the right, with a 35A box and a small carved tools box. Third version: 1st and 3rd photos : The second from the left, with a 582 box, small carved tools box and concav hubs. Fourth version: 1st and 3rd photos : First on the left, with 582 box, small carved tools box, concav hubs with striated tyres and plastic hook. Concerning the 'cream' string of the last version, it can be the original one because there is a photo of the same model with the same coloured string in the Roulet's bible (!). Who knows ? Friendly yours Richard

Good to know, Richard, that 'cream' string looks so 'ordinary household', but this demonstrates that we always have to be very careful in matters like this! Thank you for your explanation. Kind regards, Jan

Richard, I am very sorry but the picture No. 1435 on page 349 of Roulet's book is absolutely no evidence that the Citron breakdown truck was ever issued with white string. There are too many voluntary or unvoluntary errors in this book.

No books without (few or many) errors, for us to cope with that, otherwise they would never have been written ... It is always difficult to confirm the authenticity of easily replaceable parts. However, IF the cream/white cord were authentic, they seem to have been used on the very late examples only, like Richard's, like Roulet's and like the one I picked up from the internet, as shown below. More additional evidence for that case available? Kind regards, Jan

To confirm the cream string, here under a photo of a sale in France, in the next days.
